500 Miles of Rassilon

The much awaited video project shot at Gallifrey One 2012, debuted on February 16, 2013 to hundreds–if not thousands–of fans, attendees and guests at Gallifrey One 2013 at the start of the Masquerade. If you weren’t there, or you were and just want to see it again, here ya go:

Vimeo or YouTube

It realistically took two weeks of editing, but it took a whole year to produce including:

  • 3 months to wait for video clip submissions
  • 1 month for clip selection and editing planning
  • 2 weeks (cumulative) to edit, but this time was spread out over four months of free time availability
  • 2 months of meetings and approvals across five different versions of the “final” video

A major THANKS to all involved, especially Susan Fox and Gene Turnbow (of Krypton Radio) who provided the bulk of the video footage. Without all of you, there would be no Doctor Who-related nonsensical fun at Gallifrey One. Big thanks and special mention to the Project Board Members who helped with organization, ribbons, t-shirts, planning, spreading the word and getting this video done with absolutely NO budget. And the biggest Thanks of all to the staff, volunteers and attendees of the Gallifrey One convention! Without you quirky bunch of bestest fans ever, we would never have succeeded in even getting this project off the ground. And final special thanks to the greatest Who geek, Grant Imahara and his always-loved quirkiness.
